While randomly minding his own business Mario stumbles into a shining light that has a lost Luma hidden among the grass blades. Shining stardust comes crashing down to the Mushroom Kingdom once every hundred years. Super Mario Galaxy took us all on an adventure by defying gravity and in Super Mario Galaxy 2 itвЂ™ll continue this trend with a charming ally by his side, Yoshi.

ItвЂ™s however in the three-dimensional domain that heвЂ™s shined far brighter than any of the golden stars in recent times. ItвЂ™s thanks to him that the video game industry survived the 1983 crash and since then heвЂ™s appeared in countless games that include classic platformers, sports, puzzle and just about any genre you can think of. It can be argued that Mario is likely the most popular face in gaming. With all that said and done, my verdict on Super Mario Galaxy 2 is that it's an out of this world experience that everyone should enjoy.This sequel comes with some extra flavour that is worlds apart from anything else With a total of 120 power star and a little something extra I'm not going to spoil it but let's just say you got your money's worth. All in all, Yoshi just works in this game and I'm sure everyone has had or will have a good time with him and his incredible beats. This fruit let's Yoshi light up the ground around him and can make puzzles really interesting at times. Yoshi's final fun fruit is the bulb berry. Just kidding, it inflates Jim allowing him to rise up slowly but on a timer. This floaty fruit turns Yoshi into a fetish. Our second fantastic fruit is the blimp fruit. Ok not really but it's still really fun and exhilarating. This hot power up, which is a reference to Super Mario World when he eats a red shell, make our good dinosaur pal go at breakneck speeds. He even has his own selection of power ups at his disposal. He has all his trademark moves and he got past that weird vomiting faze of his. Yoshi is by far the greatest addition to this game. Now how could I talk about this game without mentioning our favorite green pal green 'stache I mean Yoshi. I like this power up a lot because it let's explore a whole lot and it's resource based because you can only hold up to 3 clouds at once. This fluffy suit allows you to reach new heights because with the shake of that Wilmot or nunchuck, you make a cloud platform appear. Finally there's my favorite Mario power up, the cloud flower. With a flick of the wiimote or nunchuck, you can turn into a rock and bowl through everything in your path. This nifty boulder basically turns you into a Gordon from Zelda. With a shake of the Wilmot or nunchuck, you can still through the ground and pop out the other side to sole puzzles. The spindrill is personally what I find to be the weakest of the bunch. I don't think I need to go over the returning power ups so on to the new ones.

There are a total of 3 new power ups and 5 returning power ups. Lubba is a Luna but he's special because he's fat and wears pants but he's also pretty charming. I might as well move on to what it does differently than it's predecessor. From the moment you start Sky Station to when you reach Bowser, it's an incredible, exciting and overall fun adventure. This game is difficult to describe in words, but if I had to describe it in one word it would be grand.
